I know there are a large number of people who have WordPress blogs and would like to know how to get more hits.

In other words, they want to know how to get more traffic to their blog now.

The best way that I know of to reveal the foundational secrets for getting more blog traffic is to simply ask you some very important questions…

The questions that I am about to present concern applying the basics for getting more hits and more traffic to your WordPress blog:

1. Do you blog daily or every other day? Traffic to your blog is DIRECTLY related to your blogging frequency and other factors presented below.

2. Are you using a custom permalink structure in order to have your keywords visible in your blog post links?

Using the default WordPress permalink structure gives you ZERO indexing mojo for your blog posts.

If you already have a ton of content on your blog and want to change your default permalink structure for future blog posts, you need to install a plugin that will redirect your old posts to the new permalink structure.

6. Have you listed your blog with Google’s Blog Search?

7. Have you listed your blog’s RSS feed with Feedage, Feedburner, etc.?

People can and will review your blog content remotely using RSS feeds.

Those are some very basic questions that you should answer for yourself right away in order to get more traffic and more hits to your blog.
