One Awesome WordPress Plugin

Once you have installed the Ozh Admin Drop Down Menu plugin…

It’s pretty easy to understand why it is one of the most popular WordPress plugins on the planet. If you haven’t heard of this plugin, here’s what it does…

Instead of having a left “sidebar” menu in your Dashboard that requires you to click, wait, then click again to get to the actual admin page you are really trying to get to…

This WordPress plugin produces a “header” menu that gives you instant access to all your Dashboard admin pages in a single click.

Pretty darn slick if you ask me. And efficient too — it’s a real time saver if you are doing any notable blog work.

The only drawback that I can find with this WordPress plugin is this…

If you have a section of your admin that has many entries (like Settings), you need a mouse with a scroll wheel to easily get to the portions of the list that go below the visible screen.

I’m using over 25 plugins for this blog — each of those is an entry in the Settings section, which extends far below the visible screen on my computer.

Other than that, the Ozh Admin Drop Down Menu is simply stellar. And the cost? Free.

I don’t consider this WordPress plugin a “nice to have” plugin because of the time I spend on my blogs. Any plugin that will save me time and make me more efficient in my blogging efforts is always welcome.
