google-adsenseOne of the quickest and easiest ways to monetize your WordPress blog is by using Google Adsense.

I have a formula that I personally use for Google Adsense ad placement on my blogs that works well.

However, I need to share some insight about Google Adsense income that you WON’T hear from the so-called gurus…

My blogs tend to be in specific niche markets. This blog is no different. The size of your niche or market determines the slice of the traffic pie that your blog can command from that market.

Here’s what I am trying to say in a nutshell:

Getting big bucks from Google Adsense clicks usually requires months if not years of blog work, proper SEO optimization for each blog post and on and on.

Let me give you an idea of what I personally expect from Google Adsense income on my own blogs…

From start-up and zero traffic, In 3 to 6 months, I expect my Adsense income to easily cover my “hard” expenses — web hosting fees and my autoresponder fees — about $30 per month. Anything after that is profit that will continue to grow as my blogs and traffic to those blogs grow.

I already know that the better money is in building my subscriber list and providing credible recommendations for valuable affiliate products or services.

So, here’s the basic Adsense placement formula that I use on my blogs to start with:

Placement of a Google Adsense ad in the middle of my blog posts has proven to be far more effective than at the top. I think that’s because visitors come to your blog for content. If they can’t easily find your conent because of your advertising, they just leave and you lose credibility.

So, that’s what I would recommend for your blog as far as using Google Adsense is concerned. Once it’s set-up on your blog, just monitor it as you continue to publish blog posts.

I would spend my time working on other monetization and traffic strategies once you have your Google Adsense ads dialed in.

Your comments and questions are appreciated!
