One of the most important factors in Search Engine Optimization is the number of incoming links to your website, the relevance of the website linking to you, the anchor text used for the link, and the page ranking of the webpage linking to you. We have tried it and have found it very useful to increase our page rank on google. We are a tender information portal, www.tradereader.com. We used tenders as our anchor text. We suggest any site to try and increase the backlinks.

Steve, I have already sent an email out to people telling them about your plugin. I am headed to Twitter to post your link now. This is really a great plugin. PAS

Paul, thanks for your comments. I provided the direct link mainly for social networks sites other than Twitter. To incoporate a short url function would be a bit more challenging. But I will certainly keep your comments in the back of my head as this plugin develops. Thanks again! :-)

Steve, very good idea, I am going to test it on several of my blogs. I do have an additional idea/modification for you to consider... The code it produces for social network sites (ie: twitter), would be more attractive to a greater number of people if it was shorter. I use a Wordpress plugin called "Pretty Link", which creates short URLs directly. Is there a way to link the code your plugin creates to a plugin like Pretty Link. or, can I replace the code your plugin creates with my own short URL? Just a thought to help make it better. Other than that, your idea is a welcomed sight. PAS
