The Lies About Making Money Online With Google Adsense
When it comes to monetizing a fan club blog or a blog focused on a specific topic or niche…
I know that many of you have seen the “make a fortune” with Google Adsense advertisements for information products that can “explode” your profits.
Let me say this—until you have massive traffic to your blog or website where you have Google Adsense installed…
You WILL NOT make that much money with Google Adsense. I’m telling you this because many people expect they will, based on the latest and greatest product release by a so-called Internet marketing “guru” or an up and coming “guru”.
You also won’t hear this from anyone selling an information product about Google Adsense…
Depending on your fan base dynamic, niche or specialty, you may never see “massive traffic” because it is simply not there to be had in the first place. But that information does not sell information products on the topic.
My blogs are in specific niches, I do use Google Adsense and that income is growing—a little bit at a time. As of this writing, I’m up to almost $50 per month after 7 months of blogging—and I DO know what I am doing when it comes to blogging.
Wait a minute! But what about those blogs where the owner claims they are making $800 or more per month with Adsense after just 9 months?
Hold onto your hat, you’re going to be shocked…
Most of these blogs lie—plain and simple. These lies are usually skillfully crafted as a promotional gimmick to get you to buy some related Google Adsense product.
And while we are on the topic of Internet marketing lies…
You are probably unaware that many of the make money online “systems” you see out being sold either no longer work as they proclaim OR they are based on techniques and results that simply cannot be duplicated.
That’s one of the reasons that I simply refuse to promote most of the “make money online” products. I know how the game is played—from the inside. And it’s not a pretty picture when the real truth is known.
Note: One of the other Internet marketing gimmicks that suck people in daily is the “Is This A Scam?” reviews that aren’t really reviews at all—they are just marketing pieces that tend to have these qualities:
1. The product or service is never identified as a “scam” at all and/or…
2. The product or service works more effectively if you get the “special report” that will made available AFTER you purchase the product or service
So what about Google Adsense? Well, I love it. It’s easy to use and in a short period of time it has managed to more than pay for my webhosting fees and my autoresponder fees. My Google Adsense income will continue to grow relative to the traffic that I get to my blogs.
And I keep my expectations in check when it comes to “huge income” when it comes to Google Adsense.
But it really ticks me off that folks are led to believe that which is false or inaccurate when it comes to making money online.
I will certainly keep you informed on my own progress with Google Adsense. But you will not get the overblown hype that you see elsewhere. I believe in providing folks with information based on real results, not misrepresented or false information just to simply make a profit from some information product.
So don’t give up or discount Google Adsense. You simply need to readjust your expectations and focus on providing great content for your readers, along with solid recommendations for quality products or services when appropriate.
And for heaven’s sake, don’t recommend anything you haven’t even purchased or reviewed yourself.
If you see an information product or service recommended on this blog or website, know this:
I have either purchased/use the product, the product has been provided to me for review and/or I know the author of the product personally. Google Adsense is one of those services I do recommend.
Stay tuned!
