I would say that getting 100 unique visitors per day is a pretty darn good milestone, don’t you think?
Well, I have reached that mark on this blog as of July 2009 (3 months after launching this blog).
Would you like to know how I did it? I didn’t use any tricks or gimmicks. I didn’t use any “blackhat” or any other questionable techniques. But what I did do was build a stable and credible information platform, along with just a few proven techniques to get more traffic.
If you are publishing blog posts regularly and have gotten a small taste of the traffic (and income) that you can produce with a blog…
I would be willing to bet that you want even more traffic to your blog. One no-cost and highly effective way to get more targeted traffic to your blog is with article marketing.
Article marketing shouldn’t be a stretch for you—especially if you are already producing content on your blog that is getting traffic from your blog posts.
What are backlinks? Backlinks are links to your blog or website from other blogs or webistes all over the Internet. It can be from independently hosted websites, free blogs or websites as well as from social networking websites.
Backlinks give your blog or website “authority” when it comes to placing your blog posts or web pages in the search engine results pages (SERPS). Backlinks mean power, traffic and ultimately income if your blog or website is monetized properly.
The short answer is that backlinks = more traffic. End of story.
As some may know, I have another blog that is focused on my passion in the world of stand-up comedy. On that blog, I am a globally recognized and respected authority.
That blog is MY “fan club” blog if you choose to characterize as such, since I do have a worldwide following there. So, if you ever wondered what a “niche blog” looks like and the kind of content I produce for it, you are in for a treat.
One of the things that I do on that blog is showcase new comedians who are truly funny and talk about various aspects of their comedy acts.
