I'll check it out laterEver since i started writing my act (3 years ago) almost everyone I told that I was gonna do stand-up was like “Oh, I could do that! Check out this joke!” It’s hard not to take offense (for me) because I’ve been working so long and their like “Just do it! See how easy it is!”.
Sometimes they have a good joke, but mostly not. It’s easy to get on stage and grab a few laughs with 1 or 2 jokes, but I want a career. Thats why I developed so much material before coming out. I plan to use your system to fine tune and enhance what I believe is already headline material. Time will tell.
I just think writing some good open-mike stuff isn’t enough. If you kill on open-mic, and get invited to do a larger set, are you ready? Or are you going to repeat the same material again and add a little more? I plan to use different stuff everytime, which is why I want to copyright my material.
]]>Im going on stage for the first time right around the same time you are. a week later or so, if i don’t get bumped. I look forward to seeing your act. I dont have a twitter, facebook, myspace, or any of that stuff, but you give me a reason to finally log in. I’ll check you soon KG. Good Luck!
]]>This article was good. If you are a new comedian — have you performed at an open mic? If yes, how many? I’m performing at my 1st open mic in 6 weeks. This website has been very helpful to me. I write my jokes from real life experiences. I use topics then let the jokes flow. Comedy books haven’t helped me but viewing youtube videos has helped me tremendously. Good luck.
